From Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon or Ottawa county?
A college student or high school senior attending (or planning to attend) a U.S. college or university?
Majoring in, or planning to major in, a field and/or industry like animal science, horticulture or another agribusiness-related field and/or industry?
If so, apply for our Agribusiness Talent Council scholarship and earn cash towards your college degree! We are awarding three scholarships each with a maximum award of $1,000!

WRITING MY ESSAY
Part of your application will include an essay between 250-500 words. To be considered, your essay should answer:

Why is agribusiness the right career path for me?

How did I become interested in pursuing this career?

How do I plan to make a difference in the agribusiness field and/or industry?
Be sure to also include any experience you have with agribusiness, including related skills and/or exposure to the field and/or industry.

60 pointsUp to 60 points will be awarded for answering all three parts of the essay question to share why agribusiness is the right career path for you, how you became interested in the field and/or industry, and how you plan to make a difference within an agribusiness field and/or industry.

15 pointsUp to 15 points will be awarded for spelling, grammar and structure of your essay, and spelling and grammar in your application.

15 pointsUp to 15 points will be awarded for your description of how you will use the funds.

10 pointsUp to 10 points will be awarded for completing and submitting your application on time.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?
Applications will be reviewed, and essays scored, by members of the scholarship selection committee. Winners will be notified of their scholarship award by April 15, 2025. To receive a scholarship, awardees will have to provide our selection committee with:
High school seniors: A copy of your college acceptance documentation.
Current college students: Proof of your class registration for the upcoming semester.
