Spotlight on Ag-Readers

March is National Agriculture and Reading Months. To celebrate, we're holding the Spotlight on Ag Readers (SOAR) initiative!

SOAR will match farmers, food processors and other agribusiness employers with your classroom for 30-45 minutes of interactive fun with an agribusiness pro. You can expect:

Storytime: They’ll read an engaging National Foundation for Agriculture book.

Q&A: Students can ask questions about the reader’s background and the world of ag.

Hands-on activity: If time allows, students will dive into an activity related to the story.

Educators: click on your county to register!

Together, we’re connecting agribusiness professionals with local elementary classrooms to teach students about agriculture and its impact on their lives. Educators will also receive a copy of the book and students will receive an Ag Mag on the topic to take home. This year's books are:

3rd - 5th grade

K - 2nd grade
